Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Psalm 122:1 I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the Lord.
It is with great joy and sobriety that we announce to you that we will open the Living Word Worship Center for church services starting this Friday, May 29th at 7:30 pm.

Dear Living Word Brothers and Sisters,
I never expected having to explain to you why we are not keeping our regular church schedule. But I trust you will be understanding.
The public response to the COVID19 virus is unlike anything we have ever seen. I am sure the 1918 flu pandemic deserved an even more aggressive response than COVID19 nearly one hundred years ago, but alas, we did not understand viruses then as we do today. Our church needs to do its small part to avoid another virus-event like the 1918 flu.
Due to the public health crisis we will not be holding our typical schedule of church services. In the meantime, we expect our government officials to clarify for us what we can and cannot do within the ban on large gatherings. We will be in contact with them soon to learn more about the new regulation that limits the size of a congregation and/or a meeting place.
We will surely take every reasonable measure to protect our church members and visitors during this health crisis. In addition, we also have to think about being responsible members of the larger community. God forbid that a life-threatening sickness would incubate at our church services and hurt the community where the Lord has placed us.
That said, we don’t want our responsibility to the community and our life of faith to contradict each other. There may be ways to fellowship in faith while still maintaining the safety of our members, visitors, and the whole CNY community. We will be giving this considerable thought and prayer.
We are now assembling teams of brethren to help put together alternative ways for us to fellowship and be strengthened in worship and the Word. We will be making announcements through the Grape Vine and this web page about how you can still enjoy fellowship. Please stay tuned.
In Luke 21:11 Jesus tells us some of the signs of the end days: “There will be great earthquakes, famines and pestilences in various places, and fearful events and great signs from heaven.” There is no question COVID19 is one of the pestilences Jesus predicts.
We should respond to these plagues with humility before God instead of irritation, frustration, or fear. The Bible told us these things would happen. They are the birth pangs that precede the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Oh, Lord, may you keep your people and help us to be good examples for you. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
